Artist Anne O'Lear

ANN LIVED IN THE MOUNTAINS AND BY THE SEA DOING A VARIETY OF JOBS INCLUDING FASHION DESIGN AND GRAPHIC DESIGN

Ann O'Lear's mother has just given over to her care the trunk her Grandfather John Collins used to emigrate to America from Kilbrin, County Cork in the late 1880s. Her Great Grandmother, Mary Munchin lived in Tipperary.

On her father's side, his grandmother, Ellen Rainey Slattery came from Killaden and Grandfather; Jeremiah Slattery came from Burrin, County Cork. His Great Grand mother, Mary Maroney came from Kilrush, Co Glare.

Ann O'Lear was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and lived back east until she was six when the family made the trek west to California. She grew up in the Mohave Desert and went to college in Los Angeles. After college Ann lived in the mountains and by the sea doing a variety of jobs including fashion design, cartooning and graphic design. Ann married D11. Baba O'Lear and moved to Reno in 1985. Her daughter, Casey was born in 1990. She is an honor student in the 8th grade and an Irish dancer with the Blanchette School of Irish Dance.
