Go raibh mile maith agaibh, a thousand thanks to you all for your emails and telephone calls to our office regarding our last issue C~ The A to Z of Irish Music, it was very gratifying to hear your comments. We have come a long way as regards the look and content of the magazine and we will continue to try to be even better to satisfy you, our readers. This magazine is for you all to enjoy, so it was a great pleasure to hear your comments, again I thank you.
From the beginning, our first issue, I have said this magazine will cover all aspects of entertainment, the arts, business, sports, fashion and people and that's what we will strive to do now and in the future.
Our last issue covered music so we now turn to movies, not just any movies but those that are in some way connected with Ireland, either through actors, features, locations, writers or directors. We can be justifiably proud of the contribution the Irish have made to the motion picture industry in Hollywood.
In this issue we go from past to present in Hollywood with a feature on silver screen legend James Cagney, and the real story of the new movie 'The Gangs of New York.' T.P. O'Mahony examines Ireland's top 10 most innfluential men and we bring you the images from the recent and highly successful U.S. Ireland Business Summit in Washington D.C. Some of Ireland's best modern artists display their work and of course we have our usual round up of celebrity sightings and Irish events.
Finally let me take this opportunity to wish you and yours a very merry Christmas and a happy, prosperous and peaceful New Year.
