Jurys Doyle Hotel Group is an international hotel operator headquartered in Dublin. This newly enlarged organization is the result of the acquisition of the Doyle Hotel Group by Jurys Hotel Group in April 1999. Ireland's larger hotel group, Juryr Doyle is a market leader in the Irish hotel sector with an established presence in international markets.
The heritage of the Jurys group can be traced back to 1881, when William Jury opened his first boarding house in Dublin, while the first Doyle Hotel, The Montrose, was built in Stillorgan, Dublin in 1964 by P.V. Doyle, leading hotelier and entrepreneur. Today, Jurys Doyle has 32 properties, totaling over 6400 rooms, with 3,500 employees. The group offers buriness and leisure travelers a portfolio of 3, 4 and 5 star hotels and inns in Ireland, the U.K. and the USA. The company has approximately 3,500 employees.
PETER HILLARY

Born in Cork and educated Dublin, Peter Hillary started work in the Gresham hotel in Dublin, before joining the Trusthouse Forte Hotel Group in the Shelbourne Hotel Dublin. Peter then moved within the T.H.F. group to London before transferring to the international team and working in Jamaica, Bahamas Anguilla, France and Tunisia.
He joined the Doyle hotel group in 1994 when the company had two properties in the United States, the Marriott Courtyard Hotel and the Normandy Hotel. Peter had overall responsibility for the two hotels and also that of expanding the Doyle Group presence in the States. The group acquired the Dupont Plaza Hotel in 1997 and closed the hotel for extensive refurbishments before reopening in 1998 as the Doyle Washington Hotel.
Doyle Hotels and the Jurys Hotel Group merged 4 years ago, with all properties branded as Jurys and the hotel on DuPont Circle now operates as Jurys Washington.
Looking to the future, Jurys will open a 220 bedroom 4 Star property in the Back Bay area of Boston in early 2004, and are hoping to add a location in New York in the near future with the aim of covering the most of the East Coast major gateway cities.
TOM CASEY
General Manager Jury's Doyle Hotel Group USA
Tom Casey has had a long career in hospitality industry management. He was recently appointed as General Manager of the Jurys Washington Hotel. He managed the start-up and launch of the Doyle Washington Hotel (now Jurys Washington Hotel) after overseeing many aspects of the $15 million renovations. He previously managed the Washington Courtyard by Marriott, NW and held several senior management positions at other Jurys Doyle Group properties in Ireland, including the Berkley Court in Dublin.
Mr. Casey was born and educated in Ireland. A native of Glendalough, County Wicklow, Tom graduated from Blackrock College, Dublin. He is affiliated with several professional membership organizations in the hotel and business industry, including the Washington DC Board of Trade and The Irish Hotel & Catering Institute.
DAVID MCGUIGAN
Director of Operations Jury's Washington Hotel
After graduating from the College of Catering in Dublin, David McGuigan joined the Doyle Hotel Group to carry out basic training. From there he joined the Great Southern Hotel Group were he completed most of his junior management training before joining the Intercontinental Hotel Group in London managing one of their restaurants.
At that stage Mr. McGuigan spent some time restructuring his career path, deciding in 1997 to join Jurys Hotel Group (now Jurys Doyle Hotel Group). He joined the company as a Front Office Manager in one of the London Properties and was then placed and spent time in various properties in the U.K and Ireland. Over the years he benefited from taking part in the Groups detailed development and training programs including the group's General Manager Development Program.
David McGuigan is currently Director of Operations in Jurys Washington Hotel. A 314 bedroom hotel situated in the heart of Washington D.C. His responsibilities include the general operations of the hotel with an emphasis on team work and customer care. The position requires that David does just operate the business to meet customers needs, but rather tries to stimulate their desires and there is always a focus on high quality standards and efficient service with the end result being production.
