stronger than ever

Let me begin by expressing my deepest sympathy for the victims and families affected by the events of September 11th and the Rockaway disaster. We have all been devastated by these terrible tragedies. We have lost a lot of dear friends and neighbors. My prayers are with you all. The courage shown in the face of destruction will stay with me forever. It serves to prove how resilient and brave this country is. The photography of Eddie Jackson on page 38 illustrates this beautifully.

The reaction to our last issue has been wonderful. As you have noticed, we have given our magazine a 'make over,' with a new improved design and layout. Thank you all for your positive comments as we continue to strive toward what we set out to achieve.

This issue, it is with great pleasure, that I present to you our profile of Irish actor, Richard Harris. The day I spent with Mr. Harris was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had--he is truly a beguiling Limerick man. We chatted about the movies, his career to date and of course his passion for rugby. After the interview we retired to one of his favorite hosteleries for more lively chat. I hope you enjoy this article as much as I enjoyed his company.

This issue also includes some outstanding features by our new editor, Tony Quinn, who makes a great addition to our dedicated staff.
